Simulation and Learning to Care for Patients: Acute Alcohol Withdrawal

Öz

This paper examines the development of a complex patient simulation scenario providing senior nursing students experiences in enhanced clinical judgment, clinical reasoning, problem-solving and communication skills. Unforeseen co-morbid conditions, such as alcohol withdrawal syndrome, can become pronounced upon hospitalization. Teaching-learning strategies to provide opportunities to experience all facets of possible work-related experiences promote excellent patient care.

Öz

Bu yazı kıdemli hemşirelik öğrencilerinin klinik yargıı ve nedenleme, problem çözme ve iletişim becerilerini geliştirme deneyimlerini sağlayan kompleks hasta simulasyon senaryosunun gelişimini incelemektedir. Alkol yoksunluk sendromu gibi görünmeyen eşlik eden durumlar hastaneye yatırlıma sırasında seslendirilebilinir. İş deneyimi ile ilişkili muhtemel durumların tüm yönlerinin deneyiminin sunulmasını sağlayan eğitim ve öğrenme startejileri daha iyi hsata bakımını teşvik eder.
