Obez kadınlarda serum ferritin düzeyleri ve kardiyovasküler risk göstergeleri arasındaki ilişki

Öz

Giriş Serum ferritin düzeylerindeki artış ile hipertansiyon, dislipidemi, açlık insülin ve glukoz düzeylerinde artış ve santral obezite ile ilişkili olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışmada obez kadınlarda serum ferritin düzeyi ile kardiyovasküler risk faktörleri arasındaki ilişkinin araştırılması amaçlandı. Materyal ve Metod Çalışmaya İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi, Endokrinoloji Bilim Dalı, Obezite Polikliniğine başvuran 534 obez kadın hasta (vücut kitle indeksi (VKİ) >30) kg/m2) alındı. Hastaların detaylı anamnezi alındı ve fizik muayene yapılarak antropometrik ölçümleri kaydedildi. En az 8 saatlik açlığı takiben kan örnekleri alındı. Bulgular Hastaların ortalama ferritin düzeyleri 40.16 ng/mL tespit edildi. Hastalar ferritin düzeylerine göre 3 gruba ayrıldı. Ferritin düzeyi 9.96±4.16 olanlar Grup I’i (n=175), 28.03±6.85 olanlar Grup II’yi (n=179), 81.62±42.10 olanlar Grup III’ü (n=180) oluşturdu. Ferritin düzeyi ortalaması en yüksek olan Grup III’de, Grup I ve Grup II’ye göre VKİ, bel çevresi, kolesterol, trigliserit, kan basıncı ölçümleri, glukoz ve insülin düzeyleri ve HOMA değerleri anlamlı olarak daha yüksek bulundu (p
