Objective: Nausea-vomiting occurs approximately the rate of %63-84 after thyroidectomy operations. Women has the vomit incidens 5 times more than men. In some studies, it was shown that menstruel cyclus can impact post-operative vomit.

Methods: A hundered fifty women around the age of 18-49 has been involved in this study. First day of last menstrual cyclus was considered as starting day of next period. According to the operation day patients were divided tree groups in this period. First to 8th days are named as Follicular group (F) and 50 woman were involved. 9th to 16th days are named as Ovulatory group (O) and 50 woman were involved. 17th to last day of period are named as Luteal group (L) and 50 woman were involved. The same anesthetic procedures were performed to all patients. Aldrete Recovery Scala and Abromowitz Emesis Scores were recorded at actually extubation time, 5, 15, 30 th minutes, 1, 3, 6, 24th hours after extubation by the doctor who were not aware of this study.

Results: Working groups for age, sex, BMI, such as patient characteristics were similar in terms of study. Abramowitz Emesis scoring scale nausea and vomiting severity evaluated, a total of vomiting observed number of patients in group M (n = 47, 97%) Group O (n = 33, 66%) and Group L (n = 22, 44%) was greater than that

Conclusion: As a result, it was observed that nausea-womiting happens to the fertile women who had thyroidectomy in Group F more than the others.

Amaç: Tiroidektomi operasyonlarından sonra yaklaşık %63-84 oranında bulantı-kusmaya rastlanır. Kadınlarda, bulantı-kusma insidansı erkeklerden 2-3 kat fazladır.

Yöntemler: On sekiz kırk dokuz yaş arası 150 kadın hasta çalışma kapsamına alındı.
