Objective: The purpose of the study is to examine the painkiller's disability and the factors that affect caregivers in the management of cancer pain. Method: Descriptive study was employed. The sample of research consisted of 150 caregivers of cancer patients who medicated out of KKTC Dr. Burhan Nalbanoğlu Goverment Hospital between May 2014-June 2014. Stratified sampling method was used. The research data were collected using two data collection tools: face-to-face interviews from caregivers, "Identification Characteristics of Caregiver and Pain Diagnosis Questionnaire" and "Caregiver Painkillers Usage-Based Disability Questionnaire". Numerical and percentage tests were used in the analysis of the data, and Chi-Square statistical analysis tests were used to determine the relationship between the relevant variables and pain management. Results: Caregivers of cancer patients barriers about using opioids resists effective cancer pain management. Of the caregivers, 54.7% were able to become easily addicted to the painkillers, 43.3% preferred to deal with the pain of the patient instead of dealing with side effects and the caregivers gave the pain to the patient when needed 2.60 ± .635 . No significant relationship was found between the other sociodemographic variables except for gender variables p
