The subject of this study is to evaluate the feasibility of the Project of CHİLD-FRIENDLY CITY prepared by the municipality of Lüleburgaz through studying the literature, documents and field-interviews. The aim of the Project is to form a local management system, via real examples, related experiences and accumulation as well as the implementation of child rights in cities. This issue was accepted as an international rule by General Assemble of United Nations, via real examples, accordance with the convention on the rights of the children and became a current issue after it was put into effect on the 2nd of September, 1990.
As a local actor; the municipality of Lüleburgaz involved as a mutual partner in the local coordination of the Project of Child-friendly Cities initiated by United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) in 2014 and funded by Turkish National Committee and IKEA and UNICEF. The subjective of this study is to, with the data from the interviews, evaluate the feasibility by studying “Model-Project” prepared by this municipality in the context of Project of CHİLD-FRIENDLY CITY prepared by the municipality of Lüleburgaz; and if such attempts are “Useful Model”, is to bring its ‘common positive effects’ for discussion and to raise the awareness of the Public, in regard to public interest.
