The primary goal of the treatment of
wound is rapid wound closure and a functional and aesthetically satisfactory
scar. Wound healing is a dynamic, interactive process involving soluble
mediators, blood cells, extracellular matrix, and parenchymal cells. Recently, the role of growth factors in the healing
process has received considerable attention. In this rewiev, the effects of fibrin glue and growth factors
released from platelets on wound healing, the methods of plateletrich plasma
preparation and their usage for wound management were mentioned.
