Associate Prof. Dr. Hijaz Ahmad completed his MS in computational mathematics from the Department of Mathematics, COMSATS University Islamabad, Wah Campus. In 2022, he completed his PhD in Computational and Applied Mathematics from the Department of Basic Sciences and Islamiat, University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar, Pakistan and then he started his Post-doc from Lebanese American University, Beirut, Lebanon. His research work is focused on the development and advancement of numerical techniques for finding the numerical solution of mathematical models in the form of partial differential equations and fractional partial differential equations arising in finance, computational biology, and different disciplines of engineering. He has introduced modified variational iteration algorithm-I and modified variational iteration algorithm-II for the numerical solution of nonlinear partial differential equations and fractional iteration algorithm-I for finding the numerical solution of nonlinear non-integer order partial differential equations. The scope of his research is quite broad, covering numerical analysis, fractional calculus, mathematical biology and mathematical physics. Dr Ahmad is included in the World's Top 2% Scientists 2022, 2023 and 2024 (by Stanford University and Elsevier).

Dr. Jinyang Xu, FIAAM, MASME, MSCS, is an Associate Professor and a Doctoral Supervisor of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He was awarded the Shanghai Pujiang Talents Program by the Shanghai Municipality in 2017. He was ranked as the World’s Top 2% Scientists by Stanford University for four consecutive years (2021-2024). He received his M.Sc. in Mechanical Manufacturing & Automation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University (China) in 2013, and obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering & Materials from Arts et Métiers ParisTech (France) in 2016. His research interests focus on composites machining, numerical modeling, micro/nano cutting, and surface texturing. He has published over 80 articles in highly-ranked JCR-referenced journals as a first/corresponding author, co-authored more than 60 peer-reviewed papers, and edited 3 monographs, 5 book chapters, 10 int. conf. proceedings and 11 special issues, being cited over 4200 times with an h-index of 38 according to Google Scholar Citations. He now serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Coating Science and Technology (JCST), International Journal of Precision Technology (IJPTECH), and International Journal of Product Sound Quality (IJPSQ). He is an Associate Editor of Proc. IMechE Part E – J. Process. Mech. Eng. (SCIE/EI), Frontiers in Materials (SCIE/EI), and Int. J. Manuf. Mater. & Mech. Eng. (ESCI/SCOPUS). Presently, he is an Editorial Board Member of 7 SCI journals, including Green Materials, Journal of Superhard Materials, Int. J. Aerospace Engineering, Coatings, Lubricants, etc. Moreover, Dr. Xu is also acting as a scientific reviewer for more than 80 prestigious Web of Science journals, such as IJMTM, JMPT, IJAMT, IJMS, COST, WEAR, etc. He has been invited as Keynote/Invited Speakers, Section Chairs, and TPC members for a number of international conference series (e.g., APMAS, DSMIE, ICMEM, ICMTM, ICMSOA, ICEM, ICMD, ICMAT, NMMVE, etc.) with themes in materials science and manufacturing processes. He is the principal investigator of some national and provincial projects, including the NSFC grants, Shanghai Pujiang Talents Program, Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology projects, State Key Laboratory of Mechanical System and Vibration funds, as well as a number of industrial projects. For his notable research in the field of Materials Processing & Manufacturing, he was honored with the prestigious IAAM Scientist Medal of the year 2020, and received the Best Paper Awards at the NMMVE2024 (July 19-21, 2024, Dalian, China), CMAMT2023 (August 2-4, 2023, Shenyang, China), the NMMVE2023 (June 2-4, 2023, Guiyang, China), the NMMVE2022 (March 18-20, 2022, Guilin, China), the CJUMP2017 (November 19-21, 2017, Shanghai, China) and the ISGMA2015 (June 23-27, 2015, Qingdao, China) conferences. He has been the recipient of several awards, including the Wiley 2020-2021 Top Cited Author Award (Wiley, 2022), the Outstanding Contribution in Reviewing Award (Elsevier, 2016 & 2018), the nominee of the Pierre Bézier Doctoral Dissertation Award (2016), the CSC Government Scholarship (2013), the Excellent Master Thesis Award of Shanghai Municipality (2013), the Excellent Graduate Award of Shanghai Municipality (2013), and the National Graduate Scholarship of China (2012). He was awarded the Gusu Innovation and Entrepreneurship Leading Talent Program of the Suzhou City (2024), the Longcheng Leading Talent Program of the Changzhou City (2021). He is a fellow of IAAM and a senior member of SCS.
