Kök hücreyi tanıyalım

Öz

1960’lı yıllarda kemik iliği kök hücreleri ile başlayan kök hücrenin hastalıklarda tedavi amaçlı kullanılma umudu; bugün halen devam etmektedir. Kök hücrelerin uygun uyaranlar altında farklılaşmış hücrelere dönüşebilme yetenekleri bilim dünyası açısından dikkat çekicidir. Pluripotent veya multipotent kök hücreler daha sonra belirli hücre dizilerine farklılaşacak progenitor hücreleri oluştururlar. Kök hücre tipleri ve özellikleri bu yazıda tartışılacaktır.
