Student Entrepreneurship in the Digital World: Concepts, Examples and Programs
Öz
Today, along with the increase in the number of students, the digitalization movement and government-supported entrepreneurship programs are promoting and spreading student entrepreneurship. This study aims to examine the conceptual foundations of student entrepreneurship and reveal the dynamics of this process through current programs and successful examples. To this end, document analysis technique was used within the scope of qualitative research method. In this context, the study sought answers to the following questions based on relevant research: "What is student entrepreneurship? What are the contexts that influence student entrepreneurship? What are the dimensions of student entrepreneurship? What are the concepts related to student entrepreneurship? What current programs are available for student entrepreneurship? what are the examples of successful student entrepreneurship, and what are the criteria for success in the student entrepreneurship process?" In conclusion, it can be said that student entrepreneurship enables students to recognize their own potential and generate solutions, transform existing social, economic, or academic problems into entrepreneurial ideas, create value through digital tools even with limited resources, and develop social enterprises that offer solutions to others' problems based on their own experiences of helplessness.
