Synectic is a technique used for teaching purposes. In tis study, Preschool teachers' knowledge about the synetic, their views on the use of synetic technique in preschool education and their self-efficacy perceptions about the synetic technique were revealed. This research, which aims to reveal the views of preschool teachers about this technique used in the field of teaching, was designed in the qualitative research model. This research is a qualitative research designed in the screening model in order to determine the situation. Semi-structured interview technique was used to collect data. This interview form was prepared by researchers in line with expert opinions. The research was focused on 20 pre-school teachers working in Mersin city center. The data was developed by researchers open-ended. In the semi-structured interview form, besides personal information, questions about teachers' level of knowledge about the synectic technique, their views on the use of this technique and their perceptions of competence in the synectic technique were included. The data were analyzed by descriptive analysis. In the study, it was concluded that the participants generally knew the synetic technique but did not apply it and did not find themselves sufficient in this regard. While 14 of the participants defined this technique, 6 stated that they did not know at all. Only 2 of the teachers stated that they applied the synectic technique and 9 of them never used this technique. In addition, only 4 teachers stated that they found themselves sufficient in this regard, while 16 participants stated that they did not find themselves sufficient in the application of this technique.
