Öz

Kiros Silindiri, insan hakları ve insancıl hukuk tarihi açısından önemli bir kaynak olmasına karşın bu perspektiften yeterince incelenmemiştir. Kitabenin insan hakları ile ilişkisi ve ilk insan hakları bildirgesi olup olmadığı hususu bu çalışmada cevabı aranan iki temel sorudur. Çalışma dört konu üzerinde inşa edilmiştir: 1 Kitabenin kendi hikâyesi ve insan hakları ile ilişkisinin hikâyesi, 2 kitabe içindeki verilerin hem insan hakları hem de insan hakları hukuk tarihi açısından analiz edilmesi, 3 elde edilen veriler ışığında kitabenin insan hakları ile ilişkisinin irdelenmesi, 4 kitabenin ilk insan hakları bildirgesi olup olmadığı hususunun tartışılması

Examination of the Cyrus Cylinder by the History of Human Rights Law or Examination of the History of Human Rights by the Cyrus Cylinder

Öz

Kiros Cylinder is an important source of human rights and humanitarian law history, nevertheless it has been studied very little from this perspective. The questions of whether the inscription is related to human rights and whether it is the first human rights declaration are the two basic questions that are sought in this paper. The study was constructed on four topics: 1 the story of the inscription and of its relationship with human rights, 2 the analysis of the information in the inscription in relation to human rights and the human rights history, 3 Investigation of its relationship to the human rights in light of the information obtained and, lastly, 4 the issue of being the first human rights declaration
