GELENEKSEL ANADOLU MİMARİSİNE AİT KAPI YÜZEYLERİNDE KULLANILAN SİMGE VE SEMBOLLER

Anatolia, the crossroads of civilizations, has been home to many different cultures throughout history and has a unique cultural heritage with the traces left by these cultures. Each civilization that has lived in these lands has produced cultural elements reflecting the social and belief systems of its own period, and reflected these elements in many areas from daily life to architecture. These cultural reflections were not limited to objects of use such as furniture, clothing, utensils and trinkets, but also manifested themselves in architectural structures. Doors, which are an important building element especially in traditional Anatolian architecture, have been evaluated as a carrier of symbolic meaning beyond being functional. The symbols and symbols engraved on the doors were used as a means of expression. In this study, which was prepared using the qualitative research method, the symbols and icons used on door surfaces were discussed, the historical and cultural sources of these symbols and icons were investigated, and their definitions and aesthetic reflections were included. In line with the findings obtained, it was concluded that these symbols and icons used are important in the context of cultural continuity and that it is a necessity to pass them on to future generations.

Medeniyetlerin kesişim noktası olan Anadolu, tarih boyunca pek çok farklı kültüre ev sahipliği yapmış ve bu kültürlerin bıraktığı izlerle benzersiz bir kültürel mirasa sahip olmuştur. Bu topraklarda yaşamış her uygarlık, kendi dönemine ait toplumsal ve inanç sistemlerini yansıtan kültürel ögeler üretmiş; bu ögeleri gündelik yaşamdan mimariye kadar birçok alana yansıtmıştır. Söz konusu kültürel yansımalar, yalnızca eşyalar, kıyafetler, kap-kaçak gibi kullanım nesneleriyle sınırlı kalmamış, mimari yapılarda da kendini göstermiştir. Özellikle geleneksel Anadolu mimarisinde önemli bir yapı unsuru olan kapılar, işlevsel olmanın ötesinde, sembolik bir anlam taşıyıcısı olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Kapılar üzerine işlenen simge ve semboller, birer ifade aracı olarak kullanılmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılarak hazırlanan bu araştırmada, kapı yüzeylerinde kullanılan simge ve semboller ele alınmış, kullanılan bu simge ve sembollerin tarihsel ve kültürel kaynakları araştırılmış ve bunların tanımlanmalarına ve estetik yansımalarına yer verilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda kullanılan bu simge ve sembollerin kültürel devamlılık bağlamında önem taşıdığı ve gelecek kuşaklara aktarılmasının bir zorunluluk olduğu yargısına varılmıştır.
