SEMBOLİZM SANAT AKIMI VE ÇAĞDAŞ SANATA YANSIMALARI

Sembolizm, 19. yüzyılın sonlarında edebiyat alanında ortaya çıkan bir sanat akımıdır. Bu akımı benimseyen sanatçılar, ruhsal deneyimleri ve soyut kavramları imgeler aracılığıyla temsil ederken; görünmeyeni görünür kılmayı amaçlamışlardır. Çalışmanın amacı, Sembolizmin ortaya çıkış süreci ile temel estetik ilkelerini incelemek ve Sembolizmin diğer sanat akımları üzerindeki etkisini tarihsel ve kavramsal bir çerçeve içinde değerlendirmektir. Bu makale, Sembolizmin doğuşuna ve tarihsel süreçte sanatın farklı dönemlerinde bıraktığı izlere odaklanmaktadır. Aynı zamanda kendisinden sonra gelen Nabiler grubu ve Art Nouveau Akımı gibi yaklaşımlara, Sembolizmin nasıl ilham ve aracı olduğu tartışılmaktadır. Çalışma, literatür taraması ve ilgili sanat eserlerinin incelemesi yoluyla Sembolizmin estetik ve düşünsel varoluşunu incelemektedir. Akımın çağdaş sanattaki tezahürleri, belirli çağdaş sanat eserlerinin incelenmesi yoluyla analiz edilmiştir. Makalede çağdaş sanatçıların sembolist eserlerinde sembolik yapının biçimi ve amacı incelenmiş; yer yer sembolist dönem sanatçılarının eserlerinden açıkça faydalanmış sanatçıların eserlerine de yer verilmiştir.

Symbolism is an art movement that emerged in the field of literature in the late nineteenth century. Artists who adopted this movement sought to render the unseen visible while representing spiritual experiences and abstract concepts through imagery. The aim of the study is to examine the process of the emergence of Symbolism and its fundamental aesthetic principles, and to evaluate the influence of Symbolism on other art movements within a historical and conceptual framework. This article focuses on the birth of Symbolism and the traces it left in different periods of art throughout history. It also discusses how Symbolism served as both an inspiration and a mediator for subsequent approaches such as the Nabis group and the Art Nouveau movement. The study investigates the aesthetic and intellectual existence of Symbolism through a literature review and an examination of relevant artworks. The manifestations of the movement in contemporary art have been analyzed through the study of selected contemporary artworks. In the article, the form and purpose of symbolic structure in the Symbolist works of contemporary artists are examined; at certain points, works by artists who have explicitly drawn upon the artworks of Symbolist-period artists are also included.
