Abstract
In order to achieve the desired purpose of beekeeping activities, it is important to recognize the flora around the apiary and especially the plant taxa that bees visit most to get pollen and nectar, to know and monitor the onset and duration of flowering, pollen and nectar flow. In this research we have carried out with the thought of contributing to this subject; Genç district (Bingöl) and the surrounding area is valuable in terms of beekeeping and the most visited by bees plants, field studies, beekeeping in the vicinity of the area and was determined as a result of interviews and observations. As a result of our study, 78 plant taxa were identified. The families of the taxa identified are as follows: Lamiaceae (20), Fabaceae (16), Asteraceae (14), Rosaceae (7), Boraginaceae (6), Caryophyllaceae (3), Hypericaceae (2), Brassicaceae (2), Ranunculaceae ( 2), Apiaceae (2), Linaceae (1), Tamariceae (1), Malvaceae (1), Geraniaceae (1). The most visited plants by bees vary from ecological conditions to many biotic and abiotic factors, and the most frequently visited plants by honey bees in the study area and in the vicinity are predominantly dominant in the area, with large populations and nectar and pollen sources. With this study, the basic data that will shed light on the studies, beekeeping activities and the specialization targets of our university in this field have been obtained.
