Tobacco Streak Virus (TSV) in Soybeans

Öz

Tobacco streak virus (TSV) is a virus that can create diseases in many
crops and wild plant species. This viral disease follows a special infection
path and increases its infection level in parallel to temperature which gives
it capacity to form an epidemy when combined with atmospheric pollen load,
global warming and the presence of a wide host range. Since it has similar symptoms
with blight diseases, Tobacco strike virus disease often get mistaken in diagnosis,
can also persist without symptoms and results with serious loss of yields. Its
ability to be transmitted by seed increases the risk of introduction of
different strains of this disease by breeding material flow to Turkey from
abroad. This review is prepared to present and evaluate the current status of
international researches on tobacco streak virus disease in soybeans (Glycine
max L.) which is the major protein crop worldwide.

Soya Bitkisinde Tütün Çizgi Virüsü (Tobacco streak virus, TSV)

Öz

Tütün çizgi virüsü (Tobacco streak virus, TSV), dünyada
yaygın olarak ekilen birçok kültür bitkisi ve yabani bitki türünde hastalık
yapabilen bir virüstür. Özel bir yayılma şekline sahip ve sıcaklıkla birlikte
enfeksiyonunda artış görülen bu viral hastalık, atmosferik polen yükü, küresel
ısınma ve geniş konukçu yelpazesinin mevcut olması durumuyla birleşince salgın
oluşturabilme kapasitesine ulaşmaktadır. Yanıklık hastalıkları ile benzer
belirtilere sahip olduğundan teşhisinde sıklıkla hatalar yapılan, aynı zamanda
belirti göstermeden de mevcudiyetini sürdürebilen tütün çizgi virüsü hastalığı
önemli verim kayıplarına sebep olabilmektedir. Tohum yoluyla da
bulaşabildiğinden, Türkiye’ye dünyadan gerçekleşen ıslah amaçlı materyal akışı
bu hastalığın farklı ırklarının ülkeye girişini mümkün kılmaktadır. Bu derleme,
Tütün çizgi virüsü hastalığının, dünyadaki ana protein bitkisi olan soyadaki (Glycine max L.) durumu ile ilgili
uluslararası araştırmaları sunmak ve değerlendirmek amacıyla hazırlanmıştır.
