Benefits of dietary diversity for energy conservation and food security
Öz
Energy demand is a growing sustainability issue, with food production constituting a substantial portion of overall consumption. This research explores how dietary diversity can promote energy conservation in food production while simultaneously enhancing food security. This study is to provide a comprehensive review of the challenges that are currently concerning food habits and the amount of energy that is expended. As the need for food continues to rise and the use of energy continues to be of utmost significance, it is essential to give some thought to the diversity of food options. This study covers the present practices of food intake, as well as the amount of energy and resources that are required to cultivate, harvesting and preserve the foods in discussion. Our findings indicate that paddy has the highest cultivation burden (labor and mechanical power) and the highest irrigation water demand among the crops studied. The results acquired suggest that there are opportunities for research on the changes in dietary habits, energy conservation, and the subsequent advancement of agriculture and the establishment of a sustainable future.
