This study aims to investigate research that combines tourism education with applications of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) within the Web of Science (WoS) database. A bibliometric analysis was conducted on studies that integrate AR and VR applications with tourism education. The keywords “tourism education,” “augmented reality,” and “virtual reality” were used collectively in the WoS database to identify relevant publications. The search conducted in the WoS database for the years 2018 to 2023 using the keywords “tourism education,” “augmented reality,” and “virtual reality” yielded a total of eight relevant studies. Although there are numerous studies on the use of augmented and virtual reality in education across various disciplines, research specifically focusing on tourism education remains limited. Therefore, this study is considered to possess original value. Providing information on AR and VR applications in tourism education can help institutions better understand potential opportunities. Furthermore, the bibliometric analysis offers a foundation for future research in this field.

Web of Science (WoS) veri tabanında bulunan turizm eğitimi ve AR & VR uygulamalarının birlikte yer aldığı çalışmaların araştırması amaçlanmıştır.
