Purpose: The research aimed to examine the effects of 8-week circular training on speed and quickness parameters of 8-10 age group tennis players. The research participants volunteered to participate in 28 competitive tennis players between the ages of 8 and 10, who participated in routine training and participated in the experimental group (n=14) and the control group (n=14). Research groups; 5 meter distance sprint, 10 meter distance sprint and pro agility performances were analyzed as pre and post test. Instead of to their routine work, the experimental group applied 40-50 minutes of circular training 3 days a week for 8 weeks, while the control group continued their routine tennis training. Agility test, 5 agility and 10 m agility tests were previously carried out starting the training and after the circular training exercise was completed 8 weeks later. The t test was used for the comparison between groups and comparisons within groups. Repeated Measures ANOVA analysis was performed to examine the group effect in the pre-test and post-test changes of the groups. Significance rate was evaluated as p<0.05. As a result of the measurements we made to measure the speed and agility performances of the research participants, a statistically significant difference was found in the 5 meter sprint, 10 meter sprint and pro agility tests all the athletes in the research group as a result of 8-week circular quickness training (p<0.05). There was no significant difference in the meter sprint, 10 meter sprint and pro agility tests of the athletes in the control group (p>0.05). Looking at the result, it was seen that 8-week circular speed training had positive effects on the speed and agility parameters of 8-10 year old tennis players.
