Öz
The determination of the aesthetic and stylistic
characteristics of Turkish Art ,between the 12th and 15th century, is based on
the analysis of comparative art history with the grounds created by the element
of multiculturalism. Among the historical works found to be included in this
date range are unique pieces containing elements of multiculturalism.
Scientific neutrality is a known fact in international art history researches
that can not be protected by the effects of national political pressures and
sociological factors, and the effects of global government policies. In
particular, it is possible to understand the artistic values of unique parts
by correctly analyzing the data provided by the comparison method. It was aimed
to contribute to cultural management in order to reveal the necessity of
categorizing the works of medieval Turkish art in the context of state and
religious arts by extracting the works in many world museums from religious art
categories. The study refers primarily to the points of emphasizing the
political elements in the research of art history, the necessity of approaching
art works with purely scientific conclusions. In this context, the stylistic
analysis of the pieces in the 12th and 15th centuries that were evaluated as
unique in Turkish handicrafts such as carpet, textile, architectural stone
decoration, ceramics, wooden decoration arts were made and it was found that
the Byzantine, Armenian Kingdom and commercial relations in the same period
were active, Similar comparisons were made from nearby geographies. For
example; In the Turkish wood ornamentation art today, a similar work exhibited
at the Ankara Ethnography Museum and described as the "Peacock Door"
has been found in the Armenian wood art.
