Evaluation of secondary schools in terms of the equality of opportunity in education

In this study, it was aimed to evaluate secondary schools’ educational resources in terms of equality of opportunity and possibility. Research was carried out on secondary schools in the provience of Burdur. The study group composed of 63 secondary schools in the provience of Burdur. In the study used descriptive research model, the data were collected through the school questionare. In this study, the statistical techniques of mean, standard deviation, percentages, frequency distribution were used. Except for equal expenses made to all schools by the state, in the result of research was understood that the income sources of schools’ varied by benefactors, donations, bequests, sponsorships and parent fundraising, and in the result of study, it was found that the most states contribution was the secondary schools in the city center. It was found that the length of teachers to work in the same institution and teachers’ average duration of vocational services increased in proportion with the size of settlements. It was determined that circulation of teacher exchange was a lot more at village schools and teachers at these schools were less experienced. The rate of lessons conducted by permanent branch teachers of schools was lower at village schools, because of this, it was determined that all lessons in these schools were conducted by branch teachers assigned or paid at different rates from different schools or by teachers working in different status and different branches. According to settlement, the mean related to physical hardware of schools didn’t show significant changes, in this sense it was understood that all schools have similar resources.
