It is important to determine the problems encountered by the teachers who continue working through distance education in terms of communication, the methods they use to motivate their students during the process in terms of health and education and the limitations they feel about these issues in order to evaluate and improve the educational activities. The study was designed as qualitative research. The phenomenological design among the qualitative research methods was preferred. The study group consisted of teachers working in primary and secondary schools. 20 teachers in total participated in the study. The semi-structured interview form prepared by the researchers was used for data collection. The communication problems teachers encounter, problems about the parents and problems about the learning of students during the COVID-19 were discussed as 3 different categories in the study. Within the scope of the second problem of the study, the question ''What are the methods the teachers use to motivate their students during the Covid-19?'' was answered. The data collected from the interviews were grouped under five categories as follows; saying nice things, conducting supportive activities, making the students feel like the school continues, performing health activities, and encouraging them for the future.
