There
is a strong relationship between the social type concept in sociology and
cinema. We can see representations of various social types in cinema films. Aim
of this study is to examine the relationship between the social type concept in
sociology and origins of social types in classically narrated Turkish
films.  After a general introduction,
social type concept in sociology will be discussed first. Second, classical
narrative structure will be examined. Then, we will examine character and type
in cinema films. Finally, we will examine origins of social types in Turkish
cinema.
