Moda ve Tekstil Sanatında Kadına Yönelik Şiddet Karşıtı Farkındalık ve Destek Uygulamaları

Öz

Toplumsal cinsiyete dayalı şiddet olayları günden güne artış göstererek küresel boyutta bir problem olmaya devam etmektedir. Özellikle kadın kurbanların büyük bir çoğunluğu oluşturduğu bu cinsiyetçi şiddetlere karşı kadınların sosyal, psikolojik, ekonomik ve manevi boyutta desteklenebilmesine yönelik çalışmalar çeşitli dernekler ve destekçiler beraberinde sürdürülmektedir. Yaratılan destek, şiddet vakalarının gelecekte azalmasına ve bir farkındalık oluşturulmasına yönelik kampanyaları da beraberinde getirmektedir.
Moda sektörü ve tekstil sanatı; toplumsal cinsiyete dayalı şiddet ve aile içi şiddet temaları gibi sosyal konulara da yer veren geniş bir alanı oluşturmaktadır. Farkındalık ve finansal destek amaçlı defileler, farkındalık üzerine sergi ve enstalasyon çalışmaları, tasarımcı istihdam programları, psikolojik ve sosyal destek projeleri, modanın veya giysilerin bir medya kanalı olarak kullanılması ile değişim ya da destek çağrıları bu alanda öne çıkan yapıcı uygulamalar arasındadır. Bu çalışma ile son yirmi yılın kadın şiddetleri karşıtı moda ve tekstil sanatı uygulama örnekleri bir araya getirilmiş, bu örnekler üzerinden izlenilen metotlar incelenerek mevcut probleme katkıları gözlemlenmiştir.

Öz

Gender-based violence continues to be a global problem by increasing day by day. In particular, against this sexist violence which women victims constitute the majority, studies to support women in social, psychological, economic, and moral dimensions are carried out together with various associations and supporters. The support created brings with its campaigns to reduce this violence in the future and to raise awareness.
The fashion industry and textile art form a wide area that includes social issues such as gender-based violence and domestic violence themes. Fashion shows for awareness and financial support, exhibition and installation work on awareness, designer employment programs, psychological and social support projects, calls for change or support with the use of fashion or clothing as a media channel are among the prominent constructive practices in this field. With this study, anti-violence fashion and textile art practices of the last twenty years were brought together, the methods followed through these examples were examined and their contribution to the present problem was observed.
