PSİKEDELİK SANATIN TEMSİLCİLERİNDEN VICTOR MOSCOSO POSTER TASARIM VİZYONU

Öz

2. Dünya savaşı sonrası “Baby Boomers” olarak bilinen kuşak, 1960 larda genç yetişkinler olarak katı toplumsal normlara karşı bir hareket başlatmışlardır. Tüm kesimlerin katılımı ve eşitliğiyle ilgili yasa ve terimlerin hedef alındığı, oy kullanma ve savaş karşıtlığı, evlilik, boşanma, ve kadınlar ile ilgili toplumsal normlarda katılımla ilgili yasaları değiştirmenin yanı sıra, yoğun tartışma konularını oluşturmuştur. Bu hareket barışçıldır ve tüm engelleri kaldırmak üstüne inşa edilmiştir. Bu gençleri bir araya getiren ortak nokta ise müzik, dans ve gösteriler olmuştur. Psikedelik sanat, halüsinojen (LSD) alma deneyimini yeniden kurgulama girişimi olarak 1960'ların psikedelik müziğiyle yakından bağlantılıdır. Psikedelik panayırlar denilebilecek sesli ve görsel eğlenceleri, konserleri duyurmak için estetik olarak kaba ama eğlenceli bir dizi el ilanı şeklinde başlayan duyuru formatı, postere dönüşmüş ve bu posterler de hitap ettikleri kitleye özgü bir tasarım dili oluşturarak gelişmiştir. Grafik tasarım tarihinde çok kısa bir süre etkin olan bu tasarım stilinin öncülerinden biri olan Victor Moscoso, öncü grubun içerisinde de kendine özgü stili ile ayrı tutulmalıdır. Bu çalışmada Psikedelik akımın nasıl ortaya çıktığı, neleri içerdiği ve akımın öncüllerinden olan Victor Moscoso’nun tasarım dili, görme biçimi ve getirdiği yeniliklerle akıma ve günümüz tasarımına etkisi ve katkısı incelenmiştir.

FROM THE REPRESENTATIVES OF PSYCHEDELIC ART VICTOR MOSCOSO POSTER DESIGN VISION

Öz

After World War II, the generation known as "Baby Boomers" began a movement in the 1960s as young adults challenging rigid social norms. The movement, which targeted laws and terms related to the participation and equality of all, not only changed laws related to suffrage and anti-war policies, but also to marriage, divorce, and participation in social norms related to women, generating intense debate. This movement was peaceful and built on the removal of all barriers. The common thread that brought these young people together was music, dance, and performances. Psychedelic art is closely linked to the psychedelic music of the 1960s, attempting to reimagine the experience of taking a hallucinogen (LSD). The announcement format, which began as a series of aesthetically crude yet entertaining flyers advertising audio-visual entertainments and concerts that could be called psychedelic fairs, evolved into posters, which in turn developed a design language specific to their target audience. Victor Moscoso, one of the pioneers of this design style, which was influential for a very short time in the history of graphic design, should be distinguished within this pioneering group with his unique style. This study examines how the psychedelic movement emerged, its implications, and the impact and contribution of Victor Moscoso, one of its pioneers, on the movement and on contemporary design through his design language, vision, and innovations.
