Öz

Araştırmada, Maison Martin Margiela’nın tasarımları postmodern ve yapısökümcü yaklaşımlar çerçevesinde incelenerek, moda teorisine katkıları ortaya konmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu kapsamda, dekonstrüktif tasarımların teorik temelleri ve uygulama biçimleri detaylı şekilde ele alınmıştır. Ayrıca, tasarımların moda alanındaki etkisi ve geleneksel moda algısına yönelik eleştirel yaklaşımı analiz edilerek, Margiela’nın moda disiplinine katkıları kapsamlı biçimde değerlendirilmiştir.
Araştırmada, nitel veri analiz yöntemlerinden betimsel analiz ve tematik analiz yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Görsel materyallerin incelenmesinde betimsel analiz yöntemi kullanılmış, tasarımlardaki yapısökümcü öğeler detaylı şekilde incelenmiştir. Yazılı kaynaklarda ise tematik analiz yöntemi uygulanarak, tasarımların teorik ve pratik etkileri belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, Margiela’nın giysi ve giysiyi tamamlayan öğelere kavramsal yaklaşımıyla, moda alanında işlevsellik kadar sanatsal anlatım diline de önem verdiğini ve sanatsal ifade yöntemiyle giysiyi metafor olarak kullandığını göstermektedir. Böylece, tasarımcı kimlik, beden ve giyim arasındaki sınırları belirsizleştirerek, giysinin anlamını yeniden yorumlamıştır.
Sonuç olarak, Margiela’nın tasarımları, geleneksel moda normlarına karşı geliştirdiği eleştirel yaklaşım ve yapısökümcü tasarım dili ile moda dünyasında kavramsal dönüşüm sürecini başlatmıştır. Bu araştırma, Margiela’nın moda anlayışının yalnızca tasarım estetiğiyle sınırlı kalmadığını; aynı zamanda moda söylemi üzerindeki etkisi ve modanın üretim ile tüketim süreçlerine egemen olan geleneksel yapıları eleştirel bir bakış açısıyla sorgulaması ve dönüştürmesi açısından önemli bir yenilik sunduğunu vurgulamaktadır.
