EVALUATING THE IMPACT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE ON CREATIVITY AND WORKFLOW EFFICIENCY IN INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE

Öz

Artificial intelligence (AI) plays an increasingly significant role in interior architecture by simultaneously expanding design alternatives and enhancing design quality. This study investigates the contributions of AI across different stages of the design process, focusing on where its impact is most evident. A mixed-method approach was adopted, combining survey-based quantitative analysis using IBM SPSS 26 and R statistical software with an experimental design study involving AI-assisted project development. The findings indicate that AI reduces design time, improves workflow efficiency, and supports concept-development through the generation of multiple design alternatives. In addition, AI contributes to improved rendering quality, enhanced visual representation, and the integration of functional and ergonomic considerations. Experimental results further show that AI tools provide designers with greater opportunities for exploration and iterative refinement. Overall, the integration of AI into professional workflows enhances both creativity and the efficiency of design outcomes, highlighting its transformative potential in interior architecture practice.
