Bilginin İslamileşmesi Projesi; Öncüler, Yorumlar ve Çıktılar

Öz

Bu makalede, son kırk yıldır birçok Müslüman aydın ve entelektüel
tarafından tartışılan bilginin İslamileştirilmesi fikri ele alınmaktadır. Amacı,
seküler ve kendi değerleriyle çatışan ve batı biliminin etkisinde kalan
Müslümanları, İslam düşünce ve metodolijine yeniden döndürmek olan bu düşüncenin
uygulanması hakkında farklı görüşler bulunmaktadır. 1970’li yıllarda İsmail
Raci el-Faruki ve arkadaşlarının gayretleri sayesinde bir proje haline gelen
fikir, uzun yıllar boyunca farklı taraflarca tartışılmıştır. Faruki ve
arkadaşları, İslami bilimlerin modern bilimlerle mecz edilmesini öngörürken
el-Attas gibi diğer bazı alimler ise bilginin, batının seküler ve İslam’ın
ruhuyla uyuşmayan felsefesinden arındırılması gerektiğini desteklemektedir. Bu
tartışmaların yanında Fazlu Rahman gibi bilimin nötr olduğunu ve hiçbir değer
yüklemeye gerek olmadığı savunan alimlerde bulunmaktadır. 1977 yılında Mekke’de
Faruki ve arkadaşları tarafından organize edilen bir konferansla tanıtılan ve
bir proje halini alan fikir sonraki süreçte uluslararası birçok seminer ve
oturumlarla tartışılmıştır. Bu çalışmada bilginin İslamileşmesi üzerine yapılan
farklı yorumlar, bu fikrin proje halini alması ve Malezya Uluslararası İslam
Üniversitesinde uygulanması ele alınmaktadır.
