Frequently used approaches and technics in contemporary management and leadership practices are empowerment, participative management, employee involvement and self-managing work teams. This vision of management and leadership practices suggests that the focus of any empowerment effort should be an emphasis on employee self-management and self-leadership. Selfleadership involves commonly redesigning one's work and one's world to bring out one's best qualities and one's fullest potential. There are three distinct strategies developed in self-leadership concept: Behavioral focused strategies, natural reward strategies and constructive thought pattern strategies. It is intended in order to perform, be effective and be productive within a selfinfluence process through which people achieve the self-direction and selfmotivation necessary by these strategies. The main purpose of this study is to try to explain the concept of self leadership and main strategies developed in self-leadership concept. Also, there are recommendations about three strategies developed in self-leadership concept for workers
