Alttan ve Üstten Üflemeli Kabin Tipi Kurutucuda Nane Kurutulmasının Deneysel Olarak İncelenmesi

Öz

Bu çalışmada, farklı iki kabin tipi kurutucuda eşit ağırlıklardaki nane (Mentha longifolia) numunelerinin kurutulması incelenmiştir. Böylece aynı tip ve aynı miktarda numuneler her iki deney setinde ayrı ayrı kurutularak kurutma sürecini etkileyen parametreler karşılaştırılmıştır. Alttan ve üstten üflemeli olan iki farklı deney setinde yapılan kurutma deneylerinde 60 °C sıcaklık ve 0.8 - 1.5 m/s hızlarındaki hava incelenmiştir. Yapılan deneyler sonucunda üstten üfleme ile yapılan kurutma da, alttan üfleme ile yapılan kurutmaya göre daha kısa sürede kuruma gerçekleştiği ve kuruma hızının da daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca 60 °C sıcaklık ve 0.8 m/s hava hızındaki sıcak havanın iki farklı kurutucuda yapılan kurutmaya ait deney sonuçları, farklı kurutma modelleri üzerinde uygulanmış ve nane için uygun bir model belirlenmiştir. Üstten üfleme ile yapılan kurutmada Page modeli, Alttan üfleme ile yapılan kurutmada ise Wang ve Sing modeli en uygun sonuçları vermiştir

Experimental Investigation of Mint Drying by Cabin Type Dryer Blowing in Upper and Bottom

Öz

In this study, we investigated the drying of mint(Mentha longifolia) in equal weight samples in two different type of cabin dryers. Therefore, drying times effect parameters were compared the same type and same amount of both test samples separately while drying in each experiment set up. 60 °C and 0.8 - 1.5 m/s velocity air investigated upper and bottom blowing two different experiment set up in drying experiments. As a result of experiments, drying made with aupper-blowing was found to be shorter time than made with bottom-blowing. Also, drying made with a upper-blowing was found to be higher than made with bottom-blowing. These methods were performed into the two different dryer results and convenient model determined for mint. While Page model is convenient for upper-blowing, Wang and Sing model is giving optimum results for bottom- blowing
