This study aims to examine the development of academic scholarship on Palestine over time by drawing on the human rights and social justice–oriented nature of the social work discipline. Accordingly, 241 publications indexed in the Web of Science under the “Social Work” category between 1990 and 2025 were analyzed using bibliometric methods. During the analysis process, VOSviewer (v.1.6.20) was employed to map authors, journals, countries, institutions, keywords, and citation networks. The findings show that Rita Giacaman, Guido Veronese, and Alessandro Pepe are among the most influential contributors to the literature, and that Israel, the United States, and Palestine lead in publication output. Frequently used keywords include “Palestine,” “political violence,” “trauma,” “war,” “children,” and “mental health.” The originality of this study lies in its comprehensive presentation of the thematic, geographical, and theoretical orientations of Palestine-related scholarship within social work. In conclusion, the study evaluates how the existing body of knowledge intersects with the human rights–based social work perspective and provides an analytical framework that highlights the field’s needs for future research.
