Nazal Provokasyon Testleri

Öz

Nazal provokasyon testleri nazal patofizyolojilerin tespitinde, farmakolojik ve klinik araştırmalarda sıklıkla kullanılmaktadır. Spesifik (allerjenler) ve nonspesifik (histamin ya da metakolin) maddeler ile yapılan nazal provokasyonlar, klinik araştırmalarda kullanılmasının yanında allerjik rinitin klinik hikaye, deri testleri ve spesifik IgE ile tam olarak tanısının konulamadığı durumlarda tanının kesinleştirilmesinde, yapılan tedavinin etkinliğini ve tedaviyi sonlandırma kararı almada da kullanılır. Peak nazal inspiratuar flow (PNİF), rinomanometri (RMM), rinostereometri (RSM) ve akustik rinometri (AR) yöntemleri provokasyon sonucu oluşan burun tıkanıklığının değerlendirilmesinde kullanılan ölçüm yöntemleridir. NP cevabının değerlendirilmesinde bugüne kadar birçok farklı metod denenmiş olup standart bir teknik yoktur.
