Abstract

Soccer is among sports which injury rates per 1000 participation hour is the highest. Injuries seen in soccer can be minor, but as well hazardous for athletes causing lifelong consequences. The topic of prevention of both type of injuries has become popular during the last few decades, leaded numerous researches made on this topic and this trend is growing. Researches revealed that, injury rates could really be decreased up to %70, and programs applied for prevention can provide enhancement in performance and skill parameters, which ultimately lead the societies of sports medicine to put pressure on governmental policies for sports and public health to change.
