İNSAN SAĞLIGI İLE VETERİNER HEKİMLİK UYGULAMALARININ İLİŞKISİ: “VETERİNER HALK SAĞLIGI”

Öz

 

ÖZET

Veteriner halk sağlığı uzmanlığı, yeni ve tekrar eden salgın hastalıklara karşı mücadelede halk sağlığı uygulamalarının vazgeçilmez bir parçasıdır. Salgın hastalıkların kontrolü ve önlenmesi, multidisipliner bir anlayışı gerektirir. Bu derlemenin amacı, insan sağlığını olumsuz yönde etkileyen faktörlere karşı mücadelede halk sağlığı alanında veteriner hekimliği konumlandırmak, insan sağlığının korunmasında veteriner hizmetlerinin yeri, multidisipliner yaklaşımlar, zoonoz etkenlerle mücadelede veteriner halk sağlığı uygulamaları ve zoonoz hastalıkların ekonomik etkileri hakkında bilgi vermektir. Zoonoz hastalıkların teşhisinde ve önlenmesinde kılavuzların geliştirilmesi ve yürütülmesi için özellikle veteriner halk sağlığı önderliğine ihtiyaç vardır. Ülkemizde bu alandaki uzmanlara duyulan ihtiyaç henüz tartışılmaya başlansa da dış kaynaklı taramalar, veteriner hekimlik hizmetlerinin halk sağlığı alanında nasıl uygulandığını, bu konudaki gelişmeleri ve en önemli sorunları açıkça göstermektedir.

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HUMAN HEALTH AND VETERINARY PRACTICES: "VETERINARY PUBLIC HEALTH"

ABSTRACT

The expertise of veterinary public health is a necessary component of the public health activities in response to against emerging and re-emerging diseases. Controlling and preventing of emerging infections is required a multidisciplinary perception. The aim of this review is to position veterinary activities should be done in response to the factors negatively impact to the human health in public health and to present information about the location of veterinary activities used for protecting human health, multidisciplinary approaches, applications of veterinary public health to contend with zoonotic agents and the economic influences of zoonotic agents. Leadership of veterinary public health is especially needed to develop and implement guidelines for the diagnosis and prevention of zoonotic diseases. In our country, demand of experts has already been discussed in this area, most of the outside sources and literatures has shown clearly how the veterinary public health activities have been performed and what the most important developments and challenges are on this issue.
