İnsan Kaynakları Yönetimi Öğrencilerinin Dijital Yetkinlikleri: Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi Örneği

Özet
Günümüzde yeni teknolojilerin ve dijital sektörlerin ortaya çıkışı dördüncü endüstri devrimine yol açarken tüm iş süreçleri de değişmektedir. Bu gelişmeler çalışanların yeni görev ve sorumluluklara uyum sağlayabilecek şekilde yönetilmesini gerektirmekte, bu da insan kaynakları yönetimine (İKY) önemli bir rol yüklemektedir. Teknolojik gelişmelerin iş dünyasındaki etkisi sadece çalışanların beceri ve yetkinliklerinin yenilenmesini değil, aynı zamanda İK profesyonellerinin de bu gelişmelere gerekli bilgi ve becerilerle hızlı bir şekilde yanıt vermesini gerektirmektedir. Bu nedenle, İKY eğitiminin geleceğin İK profesyonellerine stratejik değerlerini arttıracak bilgi ve yetkinlikleri nasıl sağlayabileceğine ilişkin araştırmalar çok önemli hale gelmektedir. Bu bağlamda dünyada olduğu gibi Türkiye’de de üniversitelerde İKY eğitimi veren bölümlerde müfredat geliştirme çalışmaları yapılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi İnsan Kaynakları Yönetimi Bölümünde dijitalleşme ekseninde yürütülen müfredat yenileme çalışmaları kapsamında öğrencilerin dijital yeterliliklerini belirlemek amacıyla yapılan bir ölçek uygulaması paylaşılmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Süleyman Demirel Üniversitesi İnsan Kaynakları Yönetimi Bölümünde öğrenim gören 142 üniversite öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada López-Meneses (2013) tarafından geliştirilerek Afacan-Adanır ve Gülbahar (2022) tarafından Türkçeye uyarlanan Üniversite Öğrencileri Dijital Yeterlikler Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada öncelikle katılımcıların demografik özelliklerine ve dijitalleşme deneyimlerine yönelik tanımlayıcı istatistiksel analizler yürütülmüştür. Ardından Pearson korelasyon analizi ile araştırma değişkenleri arasındaki ilişkiler tespit edilmiştir. Son olarak bağımsız örneklem T-testi ve tek yönlü ANOVA analizleri yürütülerek gruplar arasındaki olası farklılıklarının tespit edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma bulguları katılımcıların demografik özelliklerinin dijital yetkinlikler açısından önemli bir etkisinin bulunmadığını, öte yandan not ortalamalarının ve üniversitede dijital teknolojilerle ilgili deneyimlerinin anlamlı bir farklılık yarattığını göstermektedir. Bulgular üniversite eğitiminin öğrencilerin dijital yetkinlikleri açısından önemini teyit etmektedir.

Digital Competencies of Human Resources Management Students: The Case of Suleyman Demı̇rel University

Öz

Nowadays the emergence of new technologies and digital industries are leading to a fourth industrial revolution and changing business processes. Thus, employees should be manageded in a way which enables them to adapt to new roles and responsibilities, which places a key role for human resource management (HRM). The rise of digital technologies in the business world requires not only the renewal of employees' skills and competencies, but also the rapid response of HR professionals to these developments with the necessary knowledge and skills. Therefore, research on how HRM education can provide future HR professionals with the knowledge and competencies that will increase their strategic value becomes very important. In this context, as in the world, curriculum development studies are being carried out in the HRM departments of universities in Turkey as well as in the world. In this study, a scale application to determine the digital competencies of students within the scope of curriculum renewal studies carried out on the axis of digitalization in Süleyman Demirel University Human Resources Management Department is presented. The sample of the study consists of 142 university students studying in the Department of Human Resources Management at Süleyman Demirel University. The University Students Digital Competencies Scale developed by López-Meneses (2013) and adapted into Turkish by Afacan-Adanır and Gülbahar (2022) was used in the study. In the study, firstly, descriptive statistical analyses were conducted on the demographic characteristics and digitalization experiences of the participants. Then, Pearson correlation analysis was used to determine the relationships between the research variables. Finally, independent sample T-test and one-way ANOVA analyses were conducted to determine the possible differences among the groups. The findings of the research imply that the demographic characteristics of the participants do not have a significant effect on digital competencies, whereas their grade point averages and their experiences with digital technologies at university make a significant difference. The findings confirm the importance of university education in terms of digital competencies of the students.
