Prognostic significance of c-erbB-2 and p53 expression in colorectal carcinoma

Öz

Objective: Colorectal cancer is the fourth commonest form of cancer occurring worldwide. In order to recognize the prognosis in colorectal carcinoma, a lot of clinic and pathologic parameters such as; tumor size, microscopic type, microscopic grade, depth of invasion, lymph node involvement, invasion of vascular and perineural, tumor stage have been used. In this study, we aimed to compare expression of c-erbB-2, p53 and classical prognostic factors, and to investigate the correlation with prognosis. Methods: In our study, operation materials belonging to 50 colorectal cases were examined retrospectively. Öz

Amaç: Kolorektal kanserler dünya genelinde 4. en sık görülen kanser tipidir. Kolorektal karsinomlarda prognozun belirlenmesi için; makroskobik çap, mikroskobik tip, mikroskobik derece, invazyon derinliği, lenf nodu tutulumu, vasküler ve perinöral invazyon, tümör evresi gibi birçok klinik ve patolojik parametre kullanılmaktadır. Çalışmamızda; c-erbB-2 ve p53 ekspresyonlarının klasik prognostik faktörler ile karşılaştırılarak ilişkinin araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Yöntemler: Çalışmamızda 50 kolorektal karsinom olgusuna ait operasyon materyalleri geriye dönük olarak incelenmiştir.
