AMERICAN EDUCATION SYSTEM: A COMPARATIVE STUDY

Öz

The purpose of this study was to introduce the Education System of the United States of America (USA) and to compare it with the Turkish Education System. The Education System of the United States of America was held from different factors (e.g., education structure, curriculum and instruction, principal selection, educational supervision, special education ,teacher education, finance for education, international examinations, vs.) and these factors were explained under headlines in the study. After that, the headlines held under the Education System of the United States of America were compared with the Turkish Education System, and then the data collected were evaluated.

AMERİKA BİRLESİK DEVLETLERİ EGİTİM SİSTEMİ: KARSILASTIRMALI BİR ÇALISMA

Öz

Bu çalısmanın amacı, Amerika Birlesik Devletleri (ABD) Egitim Sistemini tanıtmak ve Türk Egitim Sistemi ile karsılastırmaktır. Çalısmada, Amerika Birlesik Devletleri Egitim Sistemi farklı yönlerden (örn., egitim yapısı, egitim programı ve ögretim, yönetici seçme, egitim denetimi, özel egitimi, ögretmen egitimi, egitimin finansmanı, uluslararası sınavlar, vb.) ele alınarak, bu faklı yönler baslıklılar altında açıklanmıstır. Daha sonra, Amerika Birlesik Devletleri Egitim Sistemi içerisinde ele alınan tüm baslıklar Türk Egitim Sistemi ile karsılastırılmıs ve elde edilen bulgular yorumlanmıstır.
