Üstün Yetenekli Öğrenciler İçin Problem Tarama Envanteri’nin Türk Kültürüne Uyarlanması

Öz

Bu çalışmanın amacı Yoo ve Moon (2006) tarafından geliştirilen Üstün Yetenekliler İçin Problem Tarama Envanteri’nin (ÜY-PTE) Türk kültürüne uyarlanmasıdır. Araştırma grubunda, çocuğu BİLSEM’e kayıtlı olan 242 ebeveyn (Anne=127, Baba=115) yer almaktadır. Araştırma verileri, bilgi toplama formu ve bu çalışmada uyarlaması yapılan ÜY-PTE ile toplanmıştır. Ölçek uyarlama aşamasında dil geçerliliği işlemlerinin yanı sıra, açımlayıcı faktör analizi, iç tutarlık, testin yarıya bölümü ve test-tekrar test tekniklerinden yararlanılmıştır. Analizler sonucunda ÜY-PTE’nin toplam varyansın %67.75’ini açıklayan dört faktörlü bir yapı gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir. Güvenirlik işlemleri kapsamında ölçeğin tümü için belirlenen Cronbach alfa iç tutarlılık kat sayısı .98 iken bu değerler alt ölçekler için .93 ile .96 arasında değişmektedir. Testi yarılama ve testin tekrarı tekniklerinden elde edilen katsayılar ise sırasıyla .87 ve .85 olarak saptanmıştır. Bu değerlerin alt faktörler için de uygun düzeyde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. ÜY-PTE’nin Türk kültüründe, üstün yetenekli öğrencilerin psikolojik danışma ve rehberlik alanındaki ihtiyaçlarının incelenmesinde, tespit edilmesinde ve bu öğrencilerin belli alanlara yönlendirilmesinde kullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
