Yeme Farkındalığının Ağırlık Yönetimiyle İlişkisi

Öz

Sosyal, çevresel, duygusal gibi birçok faktör yeme davranışını etkilemektedir. Günlük hayatta birey yaşadığı olaylar sonucu stres, gerginlik, heyecan, üzüntü gibi duygu durumlarında çözümü yeme davranışında bulabilmektedir. Alışkanlık haline gelmiş tıkanırcasına yeme, duygusal yeme, sağlıksız besin tercihlerinde bulunma gibi sorunlu yeme davranışları çeşitli sağlık problemlerine neden olabilmektedir. Dünyada prevalansı giderek artan vücut ağırlığı ve obezite bu sağlık problemlerinden biridir. Enerji kısıtlaması uygulanan ağırlık kaybı odaklı geleneksel tedavilerde genellikle uzun süreli başarı sağlanamadığı için son zamanlarda yeme farkındalığı temelli müdahaleler daha ılımlı bir yaklaşım olarak ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu müdahaleler tıkanırcasına ya da duygusal yeme durumlarında otokontrolü geliştirerek, porsiyon ölçüsü ve enerji alımına dikkati arttırarak, yeterli ve dengeli beslenmeye teşvik ederek yeme davranışlarını iyileştirmekte ve ağırlık yönetiminde etkin rol oynamaktadır. Ağırlık yönetiminde yeme farkındalığı müdahalelerinin etkisini incelemek ve standart bir müdahale yöntemi oluşturmak için daha büyük örneklemlerde daha fazla çalışmanın yapılması gerekmektedir.
