Egemen Sulukan received his B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the Turkish Naval Academy in 1997, and his M.Sc. (2004) and Ph.D. (2010) in Mechanical Engineering from Marmara University. He served in the Turkish Naval Forces and Coast Guard as a main propulsion officer and chief engineer, later becoming a faculty member and department head at the Naval Academy. He is currently Dean of the Engineering Faculty and Head of the Mechanical Engineering Department at Istanbul Gedik University and serves as a technical mentor and evaluator in the NATO DIANA program. His research focuses on dual‑use technologies, ship propulsion, energy technologies and energy system analysis and modeling.
