Egemen SULUKAN graduated from the Naval Academy Mechanical Engineering Department in 1997 with a bachelor's degree, MSc in 2004, and a PhD degree in 2010 from Marmara University Mechanical Engineering Dept.
After working as a main propulsion officer and chief engineer on ships in the Turkish Naval Forces and Coast Guard, he was a faculty member and department head at the Naval Academy Mechanical Engineering Department. He is currently the Dean of the Engineering Faculty and heads the Mechanical Engineering Department at Istanbul Gedik University and serves as a technical mentor and evaluator in the NATO DIANA program.
Dr. Sulukan's areas of interest are dual-use technologies, ship propulsion systems, energy technologies, and energy technology system analysis and modeling. He teaches thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, thermal system design, energy system analysis and modeling, and energy decision support tools and continues his research in the field of green transition.
