Mapping Digital Financial Resilience: A Bibliometric Analysis and Future Research Agenda for Fragile Economies

Öz

This study maps the intellectual structure and geographic distribution of digital financial resilience research, highlighting gaps in fragile economies. Analyzing 141 Scopus-indexed documents (2013-2025) using Bibliometrix and VOSviewer, three thematic clusters emerged: financial stability, financial inclusion, and crisis-adaptation. Findings reveal exponential growth post-2019 but expose a severe geographic imbalance. Research is highly concentrated in stable economies, while fragile MENA states are critically underrepresented. This disparity indicates that current resilience models fail to capture monetarily fragmented realities. Consequently, this paper proposes a targeted research agenda emphasizing localized empirical studies and South-South collaborations to understand digital financial mechanisms in conflict-affected contexts like Yemen.
