Space Tourism: Possibilities, Actions, A Conceptual Approach

Yıl 2021, Cilt: 6 Sayı: 1, 265 - 271, 29.06.2021

Öz

Although space tourism is still perceived as a fantasy, it is actually an ongoing activity and a process. The false approach toward space tourism, as it is just an extreme activity experienced by only some adventurous tourists, comes from the wrong knowledge which assumes space tourism is just the travel beyond the earth’s orbit. Countries need to understand the special economic, technological and law conditions of space tourism, which is not a common or a mass tourism activity, to successfully implement planning and sustainability of space tourism. Hence, this paper aims to evaluate space tourism in economic, sustainability, planning and actions perspective. Authors of this paper focused on the literature which is believed to be highly related to importance of the investigated subject. Therefore, the paper is built as a review and expected to aid to both literature and practitioners.
