Causes of Implant Failure: Current Opinions

Öz

The prevalence of dental implant applications in eliminating tooth losses brings the issue of implant failure on the agenda. Loss of implant in terms of implant failure may be resulting from improper treatment plan and surgical complications, as well as it may be related to the implant system and surface characteristics and the patient-related factors. This review aims at providing an idea about the various aspects of the causes of implant failure.

Dental İmplantlarda Kayıp Nedenleri: Güncel Görüşler

Öz

Diş kayıplarının giderilmesinde dental implantların yaygınlaşması, beraberinde implant kayıplarını da gündeme getirmektedir. İmplant başarısızlığı olarak implant kayıpları; uygun olmayan tedavi planlaması ve cerrahi uygulama komplikasyonlarından kaynaklı olmasının yanı sıra; implant sistem ve yüzeyleri, hastaya ait faktörler ile de ilişkili olduğu noktasında önemini korumaktadır. Bu derleme, dental implant kayıp nedenlerinin çeşitli yönleri hakkında fikir vermeyi amaçlamaktadır.
