BEUN FARABİ KAMPÜSÜ KURAKÇIL PEYZAJ PROJESİ VE UYGULAMASI ÖRNEĞİ

Öz

Günümüzde küresel iklim değişikliğinin etkilerinin yoğun biçimde hissedilmesiyle birlikte, kentsel açık yeşil alanlardaki bitkilerin yaşamlarını sürdürebilmesi ve bu alanların devamlılığının sağlanması için kullanılan su miktarı ciddi seviyelere ulaşmıştır. Bu durum, suyun daha verimli ve stratejik bir şekilde yönetilmesi gerekliliğini gündeme taşımıştır. Son yıllarda, dünyada olduğu gibi ülkemizde de yaşanan kuraklıklar, kentsel açık yeşil alanlarda suyun bilinçli kullanımını esas alan kurakçıl peyzaj yaklaşımının önemini giderek artırmıştır. Bu bağlamda yürütülen çalışmada, BEÜN Farabi Kampüsü'nde sürdürülebilir bir kentsel yeşil doku oluşturulmasına katkı sunmak amacıyla, yoğun biçimde kullanılan üç alanın kurakçıl peyzaj ilkeleri doğrultusunda yeniden tasarlanması hedeflenmiş ve bu kapsamda örnek bitkisel tasarım projeleri hazırlanmış uygulamaları gerçekleştirilmiştir.

Öz

Today, with the effects of global climate change being felt intensely, the amount of water used to sustain the life of plants in urban open green areas and to ensure the continuity of these areas has reached serious levels. This situation has brought to the agenda the need for more efficient and strategic management of water. In recent years, droughts experienced in our country as well as in the world have increasingly increased the importance of the xeriscape approach, which is based on the conscious use of water in urban open green areas. In this context, in the study carried out in BEUN Farabi Campus, in order to contribute to the creation of a sustainable urban green texture, it was aimed to redesign three intensively used areas in line with the principles of xeriscape and sample plant design projects were prepared and implemented in this context.
