The discovery of spectroscopic techniques predates the use of archaeometric techniques in archeology, but as one of the archaeometric techniques, the contribution of spectroscopic techniques to research is very important. Analyzes based on reflection, made with many techniques such as XRF, Raman and FT-IR, are performed with easy and on-site devices without damaging cultural assets and artworks. The reasons, possibilities and advantages for the effective use of these techniques, especially used on the finds excavated from underground, in areas where we have the opportunity to observe, constitute the subject and parts of this study. The practical importance of spectroscopic techniques in terms of supporting the Turkish-Islamic arts with clear and archaeometric data by taking the material, technique and period characterization based on observation and physical evidence one step further is tried to be addressed. In doing so, it was tried to express observations and ideas about how analysis techniques are used in the studies, in which situations they can be used, and how they will be used in protecting and restoring cultural assets and works of art.
