The Ottoman Presence In Iraq: A civilized project or a colonial occupation
Öz
After the spread of Islam during the era of the Ottoman Caliphate, in the three continents, the Crusaders and the Zionists, the enemies of the Islamic nation, sought to dismantle it. They did so cunningly and maliciously by hiring weak souls of the nation to sow sedition; therefore, they caused division in the heart of Muslims especially in Arab countries.
They spread the call for nationalism and strengthen its concept in the souls, replacing the brotherhood of blood with what they call as, “The brother hood of religion”. Moreover, the tireless propaganda worked on spoiling the relationship between the Arabs and the Turks, so they reinforced the concept of the “Ottoman Occupation” in the Arab countries, and they fabricated stories and news about the oppression and tyranny of the Turks. They also instilled in the hearts of the Turks the hypothesis that the Arabs betrayed the Ottoman Empire during the World War.
They appointed rulers on the Arab countries loyal to their malicious plans, wrote false history with their sinful hands, and prepared curricula through which they breathed their poison. They eliminated all the features of human civilization from the culture of the generations that the attic Ottoman Empire had established, and its traces still remain in the Arab countries, bearing witness to the wonderful and ancient fingerprints left by the Ottoman rule there. Especially in Iraq, in all its cities and suburbs like the built mosques, lofty schools, full libraries, suspension bridges, and paved roads which reflect dignified souls and sound intentions, which were distinguished by the Ottoman governors in those countries during that era.
At that time, the cities of Iraq flourished in the sophistication of their civilization and preceded all the civilized countries of their time. If the fair researcher compares the era of the Ottoman rule in Iraq and the British rule that occupied the country later, the cover will reveal to him and the vast difference between light and darkness will appear to everyone with insight.
