In a world which is limited by all means is it possible for a human being to become an ideal prototype with its limited capabilities? There are numerous studies of theologians, anthropologists and philosophers with regard to the basic character of man and his relation to God and his environment. The conception of perfect or ideal man goes back to Hallaj and Ibn Arabi in Islamic tradition. This dimension have had a great impact on Islamic thought in general. The following study is trying to analyze this concept first, and then display to what extent is it possible for man to attain such greatness and finally to give an outline about researches on this topic.
