Abu al-Ma'ali al-Juwayni is the last great representative of Islamic theology (Kalam) before Ghazali. He followed after such Asharite theologians as İmam Ashari, al-Baqıllani, Ibn Furek, Isferaini and played a considerable role for Asharite School to be spread out which they had systematized. He put forward new ideas concerning especially the nature of divine attributes and the meaning of those expressed in antropomorphic terms. However, it strikes someone’s eyes that there are misunderstandings and misinterpretations about his attitude and approach to philosophy and logic. This article deals with his views about the issues mentioned above within the context of statements in his works.
