KUZEY KAFKASYA CUMHURİYETLERİNDE EKONOMİK SORUNLAR VE KALKINMA STRATEJİLERİ

Öz

Bu çalışma, Kuzey Kafkasya Cumhuriyetleri (Adigey, Çeçenistan, Dağıstan, İnguşetya, Kabardey Balkarya, Karaçay Çerkesya ve Kuzey Osetya) için mevcut ekonomik sorunları, potansiyeli ve önerilen çözümleri değerlendirmektedir. Bu bağlamda, öncelikle Kuzey Kafkasya Cumhuriyetlerinin siyasi, coğrafi ve demografik yapıları incelenmektedir. Ardından, bölgedeki mevcut ekonomik sorunların nedenleri tartışılmaktadır. Çalışmanın sonraki bölümünde, Kuzey Kafkasya Cumhuriyetlerinin makroekonomik ve dış ticaret verileri analiz edilmekte ve bölgenin düşük kişi başına gelir, yüksek işsizlik, düşük ortalama ücretler ve düşük ihracat seviyeleri nedeniyle istenen ekonomik performans düzeyine ulaşamadığı ortaya konulmaktadır. Çalışmanın sonuç bölümünde, bölgede ekonomik istikrarı sağlamak için cumhuriyetlerde yerel yöneticilerin Moskova'ya kıyasla ekonomik karar alma süreçlerinde daha aktif olmasının ve Rusya'nın bölgeye yönelik baskıcı politikalarını sona erdirmesi gerektiği vurgulanmıştır.

AN ANALYSIS OF ECONOMIC CHALLENGES AND DEVELOPMENT POTENTİAL IN THE NORTH CAUCASUS REPUBLICS

Öz

This study evaluates the current economic issues, potential, and proposed solutions for the North Caucasian Republics (Adygea, Chechnya, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, and North Ossetia). In this context, the political, geographical, and demographic structures of the North Caucasian Republics are first examined. Subsequently, the causes of the current economic problems in the region are discussed. In the next section of the study, the macroeconomic and foreign trade data of the North Caucasus Republics are analyzed, revealing that the region has failed to achieve the desired level of economic performance due to low per capita income, high unemployment, low average wages, and low export levels. In the conclusion section of the study, it is emphasized that in order to ensure economic stability in the region, local administrators in the republics must be more active in economic decision-making processes compared to Moscow, and that Russia must end its oppressive policies toward the region.
