Öz

Unofficial personal names, often known as nicknames, pet names, or endearments, form an intriguing linguistic phenomenon that traverses the boundaries of official nomenclature. The aim of this article is to delve into the intricate web of the lexical and semantical elements that compose these names, aiming to unravel the motivations, cultural influences, and emotional dynamics that shape this unique facet of human expression. The methods of research are a multidimensional approach combining linguistic analysis, semantic mapping, cultural contextualization, psychological insights, and cross-cultural comparison, through them the study examines the underlying mechanisms that contribute to the formation and interpretation of unofficial personal names. The research reveals how these names transcend mere linguistic labels, becoming repositories of cultural symbolism, emotional connections, and individual identity. By shedding light on the nuances of these names, this article offers a comprehensive understanding of the profound interplay between language, culture, and the human need for interpersonal connection.
