Sexuality And Consultancy On The Postpartum Period

Sexuality is an important part of human life. It is affected from not only psychological, physiological, cultural, ethical, sociological, physical, and neurological factors but also some experiences and periods of development. Changes that appear on the postpartum period affect the sexual health and behavior of the woman after childbirth. For instance, during this period, sexual problems such as dyspareunia, over arousal of concupiscence and decrease of sexual satisfaction may appear this woman. In addition, consultancy services provided by midwifes/nurses are important to deal with these problems. This collective study analyzes the factors that affect sexuality and aims to give some clues for midwifes/nurses in provision of these services in a more qualified way.

POSTPARTUM DÖNEMDE CİNSELLİK VE DANIŞMANLIK

Öz

Cinsellik, insan yaşamının önemli bir parçasıdır. Psikolojik, fizyolojik, kültürel, etik, sosyolojik, bedensel, nörolojik faktörlerden etkilendiği gibi gelişim dönemlerinden ve yaşanan deneyimlerden de etkilenmektedir. Yenidoğanın dünyaya gelişiyle doğum sonu dönemde ortaya çıkan değişiklikler kadının cinsel sağlığını ve davranışlarını etkilemektedir. Doğum sonu dönemde kadınlarda disparoni, cinsel arzu uyarılma ve cinsel doyumda azalma gibi cinsel sorunlar görülebilir. Bu dönemde ebeler/hemşireler tarafından verilen danışmanlık hizmetleri kadının cinsel sorunlarla baş edebilmesi için önemlidir. Bu derlemede doğum sonu dönemde cinselliği etkileyen faktörler incelenmiş ve ebelerin/hemşirelerin bu döneme özgü nitelikli danışmanlık hizmeti sunabilmeleri için ipuçları verilmesi amaçlanmıştır.
